In this blog we are going to tell you all you need to know about a Dos Ojos Cenote Diving day with DEEP Mexico.
History of Dos Ojos Cenote
Alongside its natural beauty, Cenote Dos Ojos has a rich cultural significance. Cenotes were considered sacred by the ancient Mayan civilization. They believed that cenotes were gateways to the underworld, and were used for both spiritual ceremonies and practical purposes such as obtaining fresh water.
Today, Cenote Dos Ojos, part of the Paqrue Dos Ojos, is a protected natural area. It is open to visitors year-round and offers scuba divers and snorkelers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore one of the most unique places on the planet.
